Dear Pulido Family,
Quiero que sepan que pienso mucho en ustedes y que están, y Juanqui también, en mi corazón. I know little Spanish, but I wish to let you know that you are in my prayers. The whole St. Thomas community is thinking of you.
I’m a friend of Juan and we met the first few days he was here. He was an incredible man, muy generoso. I loved being around him and listening to his stories about his life. I am Claire Moreau, from France, also away form my country, but y family is with me. I wish you could have come to St. Thomas and get to meet Juan’s friends. He was so open to everyone and welcoming. I enjoyed every minute with him and treasured his friendship.
You had a great son, and he was such a good man. We are thinking about you and we were like to let you know our support. Being far away is hard, but you are close in our hearts and love Juan.
Remember him like you last saw him: happy and joyful. Hold on to the memories. Juan is still with us, alive, and watching over us.
Thank you for letting me get to know him, he was unique.
